“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20
When Jesus told his followers to go and make disciples of all nations, they were not confused about what that meant. They were challenged by the commission’s scope, astonished at their own empowerment, and humbled by their inclusion in God’s plan, but they knew exactly what Jesus expected. He led and taught them well, then told them to imitate His example.
The Discipleship Team accepts the same clear calling. It is our desire to see people made alive through the power of the resurrected Christ, help them grow into spiritually mature believers, equip them for participation in ministry, and deploy them as missionaries locally and globally. This is the team’s singular priority.
Since maturity occurs systematically and incrementally, we offer a range of strategically designed small group discipleship opportunities. Whether you are a young or mature adult, male or female, single or married, there is a well suited group for you. Some groups have a traditional appearance such as our adult Sunday School. Non-traditional evening home groups meet in intimate settings with fewer participants.
