Cord of Three Prayer

Cord of Three Prayer

What is cord of three prayer? It is a new prayer ministry we are beginning right now in our church. It is where three people get together once a week to pray for fifteen minutes at a place and time of their choosing.

God’s Word says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12:

9 “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: 10 If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three stands is not quickly broken.”

How are the groups established? You can either form one on your own with two other people you feel led to pray with, or you can see me (the pastor) and I will help you form a group, or get plugged into one. Think how strong a foundation Jesus will be able to build His house of prayer on (Matt. 21:13) as many cords of three are formed through our church. Please don’t think prayer is for someone else to do. The Lord wants all of His children to be praying daily and seeking the will of God. Prayer does not lead to greater works, it is our greatest work. We cannot do more than pray. If the Lord said His house shall be a house of prayer, then what kind of church are we if we do not pray? Let us commit to prayer and see the Lord do great and mighty things in our lives and the life of this church.
